It all starts here

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to focus on the negative, the hard, the rough, the messy? Those things grab hold of our attention, then our minds and our hearts and attitudes soon follow.  And before we know it, all of the hard feelings & emotions are directing our day and we lose sight of the good.

When I started writing here a few years ago, my purpose was to just share what God was teaching me through the good, the hard, the funny…just life.  And that’s still what you’ll find because the good Lord knows I’ve still got plenty to learn.  But I also want to have a place to journal all of the reasons to be happy, joyful.  Kind of an online gratitude journal.  But here’s where you come in.  I want us to do this TOGETHER!  Because we all need to be reminded from time to time of all that we have to be thankful for.  And we all need to be reminded that joy and gratitude come in the little things and the big things.  And that no matter what, we have something to be thankful for.

So, starting today, once a week (on Mondays, because, well, we all know it’s the least liked day of the week) I’m going to share something that has made me thankful in the last week.  Sometimes it may be something deep & profound.  Sometimes it may be something that’s small and silly that just brought me joy.  And I want you to share.  Share something that you’re thankful for in the last week.  I’d so love to have a place where we know we can come we need to be reminded of the countless reasons we have to be thankful.  So, here we go.  It all starts here.

I’m so grateful for my kids’ laughter.  Especially when either or both of them get to that uncontrollable laughter stage.  Why don’t adults laugh like that as often as kids do? These kids have it all figured out.  The more you let yourself laugh and just don’t take life so seriously, the happier you’ll be!  I love to hear them laugh.  I’m grateful to hear them laugh.

What have you been most grateful this last week?
