Graves Into Gardens

In this season that we’ve seen since Covid made its grand and unwelcome entrance to our lives, is there any one of us that hasn’t faced a battle? An obstacle? A loss? We’ve all kind of been tossed into that raging sea. Some are in boats that have weathered well and others are holding on driftwood just trying not to go under. But we’ve all faced something.

Early on in all of this I found this song. It’s become an anthem of sorts for me. A peace in the storm. A celebration of battles already won. A promise of the future. Which do you need today?

“You turn mourning to dancing. You give beauty for ashes. You turn shame into glory. You turn graves into gardens. You turn bones into armies. You turn seas into highways.
